We want to reassure you that your booking can be postponed or refunded in full if the FCO (or your national government equivalent) advice is that travel is not permitted due to COVID-19.

We are a small family business and take the greatest precautions to ensure that the lodge is cleaned to a safe standard for each booking. We have allowed more time between each booking (48 hours) where possible, are part of the Good to Go scheme, have enhanced cleaning measures, have removed the usual ‘essentials’ from the cupboards such as sugar & spices and are asking each booking to bag up bed linen and towels on departure. Good to Go

“We’re Good To Go” is the official UK mark to signal that a tourism and hospitality business has worked hard to follow Government and industry COVID-19 guidelines and has a process in place to maintain cleanliness and aid social distancing. We are pleased to confirm that Black Isle Lodge has taken the necessary measures and is operating in line with the Scottish and UK Government guidelines.

Enhanced Cleaning

An exceptional standard of cleanliness has always been our aim but now more than ever. We have successfully completed a course in COVID-19 Cleaning Protocols. We understand the risks and take the health of our guests and ourselves seriously.

We now have enhanced cleaning protocols in place which ensure a 2 phase clean (clean and disinfect) and we are leaving larger spaces between guest bookings to further reduce the risk.

Plan ahead

Many attractions won’t be open as usual and we encourage you to check before setting off, we can also assist you with local information. Remember also that restaurants aren’t yet open as usual but many are offering dining options within their outside spaces and more are now opening with internal dining options.

Protect each other

We’ve put in a series of new procedures to protect you such as self check-in, enhanced cleaning and having more time between each booking. However, we would appreciate if you can help in the following ways:

  • Notify us if you have any symptoms of COVID-19
  • On departure:
    • Please strip all bedding and pillow protectors and put in a large plastic bag (provided)
    • Place all towels/tea towels/hand towels in a separate bag (provided)
    • Please open all windows in the property to air it out
